Ecoisland Green Deal Retouching

Ecoisland Green Deal Retouching

The Green Deal is a nationwide government initiative designed to encourage a more sustainable way of living. Our headline to the Green Deal campaign was to introduce Ecoisland as the doorway to the Green Deal on the Isle of Wight. We wanted to create an image that would suggest a lovely warm home and give a welcoming appeal. It was on a cold winters night whilst walking home through Cowes and seeing the light shining through front doors, giving off that lovely warm. welcoming glow, that gave us the idea of the door with stained glass.

The flower graphic was a perfect icon for Ecoisland and would work great given a stained glass treatment. This image was then applied across all of the marketing and advertising for the campaign.

Liz Earle Colour Range Retouching

Liz Earle Colour Range Retouching

With the launch of Liz Earle Colour came a massive range of products that needed to be retouched to ensure they jump off of the page.

As a make up range it was also important to be as accurate as possible with the colour so that customers could see a real representation. This is a difficult thing to translate from digital files to ink on paper as each image is broken down to a 4 colour process.

Working with an accurate digital printer, we were able to test out each colour, for consistency and accuracy. Time consuming, but essential for retouching projects like this.

Liz Earle Daily Essentials Offers Retouching

Liz Earle Daily Essentials Offers Retouching

In every edition of the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare customer newsletter there is an offer on the 'Daily Essentials' products for both men and women. These are some of the creative treatments that we produced.

The imagery needed to show the products that were in the offer as clearly as possible but also give them a fresh invigorating appeal. We art directed the photoshoot to ensure that all of the components required for the complete image were there. Getting the perfect shot of something dropping into water is very difficult and it took several takes until we had something.

Each product was then carefully retouched to ensure they looked their absolute best and then brought together into the required composition, adding in bubbles and splashes where required.

A flooded studio, very wet feet and many many hours retouching and the finished product looks great, if only it could be done at the click of a button!

Glideball Mailer Composition Retouching

Glideball Mailer Composition Retouching

A Master Stroke
For the creative treatment that would be applied to a mailer, advertising and point of sale, we pastiched the famous Vitruvian Man, a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci depicting the perfect man and created this striking image showing a golfer striving for that swing perfection using his Glideball system.

First we needed to get together all of the components to create the composition. We photographed our model in different poses, ensuring that his position remained within a circle guide placed on the viewfinder. Each image then needed cutting out and overlaying, airbrushing and blending together to show the full swing. The finishing touch was to give the image an aged cepia tone.

Magimix Lasts For Ages Retouching

Magimix Lasts For Ages Retouching

It's not every day that you're asked to create Stonehenge out of toasters! But that was our challenge for this press advert for Magimix.

We had to art direct the photoshoot and work closely with Charlie Ross of Monitoba Photography to create a set of shots that we could comp together into the final image.

The task was made more difficult because the toasters were made of stainless steel which is not only hard to photograph, but needs a lot of retouching afterwards to get rid of unwanted fingerprints and blemishes.

Each toaster needed to be carefully retouched, cut out and then composed onto a dramatic landscape. The landscape itself was made up of several shots, a mix of moody seascape skies and grass.

The final image was a monumental success!

3M Personal Protection Equipment Cover Retouching

3M Personal Protection Equipment Cover Retouching

The 3M Personal Protection Equipment range offers anything from ear defenders to full face masks. We wanted to create a series of images that focused in on the area to be protected, using a blend of gritty industrial noise and soothing fresh air.

Working with Charlie Ross of Monitoba Photography, we created a set of images of our model that we could use as the foundation of the composition. Each facial shot was carefully retouched to remove any imperfections and blemishes, brightening the eyes and reshaping areas to give us a canvas that we could then blend in sky and industrial imagery to create the finished item.

Steve Porter Transport Group Fleet Composition Retouch

Steve Porter Transport Group Fleet Composition Retouch

We wanted to create a strong and dynamic image for the home page of Steve Porter's website, but there was a lack of suitable imagery and the new lorry livery wasn't applied to the trucks yet. This left us no other option but to create something from scratch.

A quick trip up to the Steve Porter depot with camera in hand, luckily there was a clean white lorry parked up that we could get the shots required to create our composition.

Each image was then cut out, cleaned up, airbrushed and had the new fleet livery applied. The result is this striking image that was used as the opening image on the home page and for advertising.
