The Tomato Stall punnet packaging design

The Tomato Stall is a company that constantly reviews it’s processes and always look to making the correct choice for the environment where possible. It’s always a pleasure to work on a project that shows consideration to the environment. Businesses are under increasing pressure to be aware of the impact they have and look at ways they can reduce their impact, and we love to be able to help them to achieve this.

As part of The Tomato Stall packaging design review, we were asked to design the sleeve for a punnet they have developed for their fresh tomatoes. The punnet is made from tomato leaf fibre and is 100% compostable. When sourcing the print we went to a Pureprint because their environmental credentials are second to none. The sleeve is printed on 100% recycled stock, using vegetable based inks. The result is a nice rustic piece of packaging with not a single piece of plastic.
